TV Series Review: The Good Place (Season 2) *Season 1 Spoilers*

If you are not already watching this series, you totally should!
My husband discovered it. At first, I was a little reluctant to watch it only because we have so many series we’ve not finished (including Game of Thrones, which we are currently on Season 4… *sigh*, I know). Let me tell you, I do not regret having watched it!
The series is about life after death. It follows the main character’s (Eleanor) as she wakes up in the afterlife after having died in the most ridiculous way. She is introduced to the Good Place, where people who had a positive live go, and the Bad Place, which is… well, if you were bad.
Everything is based on points, so you get points or get subtracted points for the actions you do in your life and, as it turns out, it is non-reversible.
*Warning: Serious spoilers for Season 1 ahead… and a bit for Season 2*
Season one is all about Eleanor realizing she should be in the Bad Place but ends up in the Good Place by mistake, only to realize at the end of season 1 that what she thought was the Good Place was actually a version of the Bad Place.
Season two begins as they realize, Eleanor and her three friends, it was all a trick in the first place and they are there to be tortured, instead. The first part of season two is how the demon who put them there, Michael, reboots them over an over without his superiors knowing it fearful he will be sent to oblivion if they discover he failed in his Good Place/Bad Place experiment.
The second part is about our characters trying to reach the actual Good Place.
And then the ending is… well, you gotta watch it!
It is a fun, interesting series that is original and amazing. I just love it. If you’re not watching, what are you waiting for?
cheers!
