Graphic Novel Review: Sweet Tooth

I had read good things about Sweet Tooth and decided to give it a chance. It was a good thing they had all volumes at my nearest public library.
Sweet Tooth is set in a post-apocalyptic world were most of humanity died of some sickness and in result, the new humans being born did so with some kind of animal deformity. So, kids born after that were part animal (mammals). Our main character is part deer and is apparently too old to have been born when the virus started, so there’s one mystery right there.

The world is dying and the last of humanity is looking for these mutant kids because they don’t get sick.
Enter Sweet Tooth. In the beginning he lives hidden in the woods with his dad, until he dies and leaves him alone. It’s when he ventures out into the real world that we learned that humanity is now corrupted in their attempts to survive.
The story is, in general, a little saw, but the writing kept me hooked. I will definitely be picking up volume 2:
