Decorating Idea: Our Son’s Room
May 31, 2017
It took us a while to finish decorating our son’s room. We knew we wanted a Sailing/Ocean theme after visiting Pottery Barn Kids. There, we bought all the furniture (bed, nightstand, rug, desk, chair and bed cover).
We decided one wall (the only complete wall, as in, no windows, doors, etc), would be blue. This would represent the ocean. The rest of the room would be decorated with ocean elements (both from under and above the sea).
We painted the wall blue. We got the net, letters and wheel from Hobby Lobby. We use wood clothespins to hod my son’s art and mementos. |
The awesome red anchor and blue shark frames we got from pottery Barn Kids. The curtain, which you can barely see in this picture, also came from Pottery Barn Kids. |
The frames hanging on this wall and the fish on the desk came from Target. |
The room looks cozy and not to overwhelming and our son loves to hang his stuff from the net on the wall.
cheers!
