Book Review: War Storm (Red Queen #4)

I have too many mixed feelings about this book.
This is the fourth and last book in this series, and I was disappointed.

The final book was long. Too long. Too bad. The first book, The Red Queen, is an amazing book. I loved it so much. Then I read the second one and was disappointed. But then I met the author and bought the last two books at a signing. I read the third one and was captivated by Maven, the main antagonist. I wanted to know how it ended.
I wasn’t pleased.
The author didn’t do what she could have done for her characters. The story was slow and dragging, with a lot of people talking (and complaining about this or that) instead of using their powers, which was what attracted me to the book in the first place.
There were politics, but not convincing enough. When I finished the book I knew it would be a hard story to tell. I knew. I hoped to be proved wrong.
My daughter got bored with the book and just forgot about it. I kept going, but it was torture.

It also had quite a few spelling errors. I’m an indie author, and the first thing a reader notices is when there’s a typo in one of my books. I don’t have the power of an entire publishing house behind me. I found it disheartening, to tell the truth.

Read at your own risk.
Cheers!
