Writing and Publishing: Making Cover Mock-Ups with Covervault
The second book in my Vampire Agency Series is coming out June 15th and I wanted to start working on more professional marketing. I’ve noticed on Twitter and Instagram several authors displaying their books in beautiful 3-D form that have really caught my eye.
I wanted to do the same.
First, I ended up in this website, where I learned an easy way to do what I wanted. They even offer a few templates to use. They are simple, but they are free and right there. Also, you don’t need Photoshop and the software is completely FREE!
But, I wanted more. So looking around a little more (not for that long), I ended up in Mark’s website: Covervault. He has EVERYTHING an author could need. He’s just amazing! Also, he seems to be adding to his collection frequently. I went ahead and dowloaded 5 of his templates and began working on them in Photoshop (yes, you need to have Photoshop to use these).
Mark has a series of tutorials which are very easy to follow where he explains how easy it is to edit his templates. And trust me, the results are amazing!
Take a look at what I have created so far:
Isn’t it amazing! Love them!
cheers!
