Writing and Publishing: Becoming a Member of Amazon’s Author Central

Once you publish a book on Amazon, you are a candidate to start your own Author Webpage on Author Central. For some reason I didn’t do it until recently, but my advise now that I know what I know – which still isn’t much – is that you start it right away. Not only does your page let your readers know a little bit more about you, but it also gives you some statistics that I like knowing about.

One of my favorite parts is the Author Updates section, because it shows a glimpse of the each blog post as they are written. I think it’s cool. It also displays all your books (so far I only have one), your picture and your biography all in one place. It even has a button your readers can click to follow you. Again, cool.

But, Author Central doesn’t end there. There are a total of 4 tabs:
1. Author’s Page: Which is the page where you fill in your info.
2. Books: It lists all your books
3. Sales Info: Which displays your Sales Rank and Author Rank
4. Customer Reviews: It lists all your customer reviews.

It’s convenient because it give you all this information in one place. I like it.
