Videogame Review: Final Fantasy X

Mostly I play Zelda. But my second favorite video game has to be the Final Fantasy Series. The first one I played was IV (and later the After Years), but I’ve also played and finished VI and VII. I have played VIII, but I could not finish it, something about not having the right summons to win the final battle. And I started playing I on the ipad but my husband erased my progress. Ha!

Well, now I can add Final Fantasy X to my list of finished video games.

I wasn’t too sure I liked it at first, but after a while I learned to like it. I began to understand and respect the way the grid worked to gain abilities and magic. I used the summons (Aeons in this game) wisely and was happy to get a full HP/MP whenever I saved.

The story was also a bit complicated at first, but once you learn what is truly going on, well… it blew me away! And the ENDING! It’s so emotional I cried.

Totally worth it.

I then payed $4 to get Final Fantasy X-2. I’m playing that one now. Not as good as the first one, but I guess it’s ok.

I haven’t decided if I will go all the way with it.

I guess I will while I wait for the new Zelda to come out.
