#TBT Movie Review: Men in Black 3
November 2, 2017
Well, we watched the first and second movies and it wouldn’t be long until we watched the third.
I actually really like Men in Black 3. I think it’s very different and has very interesting characters. Tommy Lee Jones, unfortunately is very old by the time they decided to make this movie (14 years after the first one (he’s 51 on the first one, 56 on the second one and 66 on the third one). You can really tell that he suddenly got old, but the way they worked around that was pretty great.
And that’s how J (Will Smith) travels back in time! What a great idea! Not only do we get to see K when he was younger (brilliantly played by Josh Brolin), but everything looks older. Then there’s the character Griffin, an alien who can see several outcomes of the present, past and future at the same time (how awesome is that).
This is a great movie. The kids really enjoyed it, too, although they didn’t get some of the jokes because they need a little bit of the background knowledge from that time’s pop culture. They still seemed to enjoy it.
cheers!
Common Sense Media recommends this movie for children 12 and up.
