#TBT Movie Review: Men in Black
September 7, 2017
I don’t remember how we ended up watching Men in Black. We had, in fact, watched it a while back and according to the kids they didn’t really remember anything about it, so we watched it again. We will also watch part 2 and 3, but… baby steps.
I gotta say the best part of MiB is Will Smith. He’s so charismatic and the kids just love him. Another part of the movie they just love is the fact that the bad guy is a giant cockroach. For some reason they thing it’s the greatest thing in the world. I think this time the kids understood more about the plot (which isn’t that complicated to begin with) but it made them enjoy the movie more now that they are 10 and 8 instead of 7 and 5. So, with this I can recommend to wait a little longer to watch this movie with the kids; they will enjoy it more when they are a little older.
There were still a few references the kids just don’t get because they are too young. Like when they say Dennis Rodman is an alien… well, they have no idea who he is. Apart from that, it’s still a fun movie worth watching more than once.
