#TBT Movie Review: Forrest Gump
I just love this movie. I have seen it many times. I know some of the dialogue, even.
Well, we went to Colorado with my in-laws and across from their hotel there was a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant. I’d seen the franchise before, I knew it existed, but I’ve never been inside or eaten there. I did that day, with my father-in-law.
The place was amazing because it’s all about Forrest Gump. It has pictures from the movie, props from the movie, framed dialogue from the movie and even the bench and running shoes are there in case you want to take a picture.
The food is mostly shrimp, but they do serve fish, burgers and other entrees for those who don’t enjoy or can’t eat shrimp.
Anyway, the waitress comes at the end of our meal and quizzes us on the movie. Loved it! I knew most of the answers!
So, I decided to go home and watch the movie again. It is just as amazing. It’s not only great acting, it’s great pacing and I swear I cry like four times during the movie every single time. It has a good message and it makes me feel like I want to be a better human being. It’s just full of hope.
If you are one of the few people out there who hasn’t seen this movie, you should waste no more time. Just trying to guess all the events and people that happen around the main character is amazing. You don’t want to miss it. Now, I hear it’s based on a book by Winston Groom from which the movie is based, but I’ve not read it. I wonder if it’s any good?
cheers!
“That’s all I have to say about that.”
