#TBT Movie Review: Arthur Christmas
Arthur Christmas is one of the three must-see movies we watch every holiday season.
It was first released in 2011 and I remember we were visiting my sister-in-law when we decided to take the kids the movies. Our kids were 4 and 6 years old at the time and they sat through the entire thing, which was great.
Since then, we rediscovered it three years ago and we watch it every Christmas season. The kids love it.
This year, my parents and my brother + family were visiting when we played it for movie night. My brother says it’s the first movie my nieces (ages 3 and 5) sit through an entire movie!
But apart from the entranced kids, the best thing about this movie had to be my mom. I hadn’t seen her have so much fun with a movie in the longest time. She loved it! Apart from my family nobody else even knew the movie existed and they loved it.
There are a lot of stars in this movie as well: James McAvoy plays Arthur, Hugh Laurie plays his brother Steve, Jim Broadbent plays their dad, and current Santa, Bill Nighty plays Grandsanta and Imelda Staunton is Mrs. Claus.
This movie is hillarious and fun. Just watching Grandsanta say his lines is fantastic. Highly recommended.
