Opinion: So Much to Watch, So Little Time – A Post About TV Shows
Well, right about now many networks are getting their Fall line up out into the world. It gets me excited, but also makes me wonder when – and if – I will have time to watch them all. There are other things I enjoy doing in my life (writing, reading, blogging, gaming, being a mom and wife) so when they present these wonderful ideas for new (and old) series I get too overwhelmed.
Here is a list of the series I watch:
1. Big Bang Theory – I am totally caught up with this one. My husband and I watch that week’s episode the same week. Together. Now waiting for season 2.
2. Supergirl – I’m behind about 6 episodes. Need to catch up before the season’s finale because Superman will be one the show again and I love him!
3. Lucifer – Another show we watch together. We also watch the newest episode that same week. It’s a great show. So funny!
4. 13 Reasons Why – I’m watching this only because of the controversy and the fact that I have a 10 year old daughter who will soon be going to middle school and then high school and then… I’m getting stressed out just thinking about it. I’m right in the middle of season 1.
5. American Gods – We both read the book. Heard great reviews. Neil Gaiman fan (I’ve read Sandman, Coraline, Nevewhere, Good Omens, American Gods). Show is great so far! We’ve seen the first 3 episodes and are really enjoying them. Can’t wait for the next one.
6. Westworld – Waiting for season 2, all caught up. Watching together.
7. The Colony – Finished season 1, will watch season 2 eventually, together.
8. Stranger Things – Waiting for season 2, all caught up. Watching together.
9. Game of Thrones – Still on season 1… limbo.
10. Travelers – Waiting on season 2. All caught up. Watching together.
11. Black Mirror – We haven’t finished it because we need processing time between episodes. It’s pretty good, though.
And that’s it. That’s my list. I know, pretty bad, right? I mean, compared to other people?
Now, here’s the list of the shows I want to start watching:
1. Legion *
2. The Gifted *
3. Inhumans *
4. Daredevil * (I watched season 1 and the Punisher part of season 2 and then stopped)
*Yeah, I’m a Marvel fan, used to read X-Men and Co. back in the 1990s.
5. Will & Grace Reboot
6. Handmaiden’s Tale
And, that’s that.
