Movie Review: Lego Ninjago Movie

Last night we watched the Lego Ninjago Movie because we were ordering pizza and we wanted to cuddle in the TV room and watch a movie as a family, all four of us.

My son had wanted to see this movie for the longest time! You have to understand, we don’t have cable and we rarely ever go to the movie theater so the only way the kids get to see previews is on the rare occasion we go to the movies (about 5 times a year) or through magazines.

It may have been when we went to see the Lego Batman Movie, I don’t remember, but he really, really, really wanted to watch it.

So we did.

Best decision ever.

The movie was fast, fun and filled with jokes and action. My kids laughed out loud in several scenes, and I confess my husband and I did, too. The plot is about this city (called Ninjago) where this guy called Garmadon wants to rule. So he attacks every now and then being always defeated by the ninjas (5 teenagers in huge robots). It so happens that the leader of the ninjas is the son of the bad guy, only no one knows this, yet. Instead he gets bullied by the entire city because he is the son of the bad guy!

This was a really fun movie for the entire family.

cheers!

Common Sense Media recommends this movie for children 6 and up.
