Movie Review: Deadpool 2

THIS MOVIE IS HILARIOUS!

Go watch it! Now!

Seriously!

If you watched the first Deadpool, you can expect the same black comedy puns with Deadpool 2. You will laugh knowing you shouldn’t be laughing. Ryan Reynolds is a genius in this role and I just love him. I like his non-stop rant about everything and anything in his sarcastic and fun monologues.

It doesn’t end with him. Cable, who is not my favorite character in the comic books, was AMAZING with Josh Brolin in the role. He went beyond my expectations. He was so badass and centered and wonderful. He was great.

Yes, I loved this movie.

And then… Domino. I have never really understood Domino in the comic book, but she was so awesome in the movie. I love how they did her white shaped rhombus from the comic book on her eyes in this movie, too. In fact, I just got my comic book with her and Deadpool signed by the artist, Greg Capullo, at the comic book convention a few weeks ago! How awesome is that?

This is the one I mean:

Greg Capullo himself signed this for me, peeps!

There were so many little things that made Deadpool 2 so much fun. Like the fact the X-Men were actually in the movie this time (and the X-Men, not just some stand ins. Cool, uh?).  And then there’s the after credits. Possibly the best part of the movie I laughed so hard. I notice Ryan Reynolds makes sure the actual facts from the comic books are there. Oh wait… Shatterstar! Shatterstar was in this movie!! Who would have thought?

I could ramble on and on, but instead, go watch this movie. It is super funny and amazing. And violent, so very violent, not for the kids. Not at all.

cheers from a comic book fan 🙂
