Movie Review: Avengers – Infinity War
May 24, 2018
This movie was AMAZING!
Avengers: Infinity War is the first part of two, and the stakes are high!
The movie joins the characters that have appeared in Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr. Strange, The Hulk, Black Panther and Spiderman together (Well, and Ant Man is mentioned, but I didn’t see him in the movie, and it wasn’t because he’s tiny).
The reunion is perfectly timed, forming groups of heroes with different purposes at different moments so that all have quality time on screen whenever it’s appropriate. Not only that, Thanos is a remarkable villain, one who thinks he’s actually doing a good deed and, aren’t those the best villains?
One by one, Thanos is on a mission to get all Infinity Stones (power, time, soul, mind, reality and space) together in his gauntlet. Each time he gets one, he gains that ability. For example, with the power gem, he because strong enough to defeat The Hulk, and with the reality gem, he can alter reality at will.
On Earth, there are two stones: The time stone, wielded by Dr. Strange, and the mind stone, which allows Vision to be a live entity.
Since Thanos and his goons go to Earth, the Avengers are assembled in full to fight him.
Thanos plan is simple, by the way, and it makes perfect sense to him: Destroy half the galaxy’s population to take care of the finite resources that exist. He thinks he’s saving the universe.
Well, it makes for a formidable movie.
cheers!
