Decorating Idea: The Kids’ Playroom
June 3, 2017
During winter break we decided to revamp our kids playroom. Every year we find different needs because as our kids grow older, their interests change.
We decided to go crazy with this room and attempted a yellow/green combo which, honestly, I wasn’t too sure about at first, but after spending hours at our neighborhood Home Depot trying to get the colors right, I think it turned out cool and uplifting, just like a playroom should be.
Everything piece of furniture you see in the pictures came from IKEA. The storage bins came from Target. If you are wondering how we found the same green for the bins as the wall, well that’s because I painted them. At some point, we wanted to try orange, instead of yellow for the wall, so we had a sample pint of orange we used to paint a few of the bins. Originally, the bins were white, green, blue and aqua. They still are, if you turn them over to one of their other 3 faces. It took a while to paint them all.
We bought a lot of those small bins to sort all their supplies. |
Even that little fake tree came from IKEA |
cheers!
