Book Review: Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1)
Oh my goodness where has this book been hiding?
Cinder is the first book in Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles and I can’t say enough about it. It’s wonderful, perfect! I couldn’t put it down. I haven’t felt this way since I read The Selection series. The writing, the characters, the plot. Everything is just perfect. And what a perfect villain, too. I just hated her (and I’m not talking about the stepmother).
This book takes from the story of Cinderella, but really it’s a complex and interesting tale of politics and war and power. Cinder is a cyborg teenage girl who is a mechanic. Yes, she has a stepmother. Yes, she has the stepsisters. Yes, she is made to work and there’s a prince. But, it’s so much MORE. It’s the future, where cars fly and there are androids and cyborgs and there are people who live on the Moon.
If you haven’t found this series yet, what are you waiting for? Click that link down there and go get it! You won’t regret it. Me? Forget about my To-Be-Read pile, I’m waiting for the second and third book to arrive. Should be here tomorrow. I can’t wait!
Cheers!
